Elisabeth Lissie Allan

Authorised website of Actress and Singer, Elisabeth Allan, member of Equity and 2007 graduate of Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London. Not to be confused with Elizabeth Allen or Elizabeth Allan, both famous stage and screen actresses, Elisabeth's family and friends know her as either Lissie Allan or Lizzie Allan.

Elisabeth Allan (aka Lissie) is 26 years of age and lives in North East London.  Elisabeth was born in Edinburgh in 1984.  She is represented by Hilary Gagan Associates of Drury Lane, London.


EDUCATION

Elisabeth attended The Russell School in Chorleywood, Lower Park School in Poynton, Chesworth Junior School in Horsham, Poynton High School and Aquinas College in Stockport.

GAP YEAR
In 2002, Elisabeth moved to Thornbury, Bristol for a year of specialist training in Dance and Vocals with New Generation Music and Mission. Through NGM, she became involved with 'Festival Manchester', leading one of the many teams of young people who had volunteered to work alongside local authorities and organisations cleaning up the streets of inner city Manchester!

FURTHER AND HIGHER EDUCATION
In 2003 Elisabeth returned to Cheshire to spend a year on a foundation performance course at the AB Academy Theatre School.  In 2004, after gaining scholarship funding to study for a BA (Hons) in Acting, Elisabeth commenced her training at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, graduating in 2007. Mountview is one of the leading NCDT-Accredited Drama Schools in the UK and Elisabeth feels privileged to have received her training there.

 

WORKING 

Since leaving drama school, Elisabeth has performed in musical, film, TV, theatre and corporate productions, and is a full member of the Actors' union Equity and Spotlight. 

 

RECENT

In 2009, Elisabeth appeared in 'The Voice of Tomorrow', at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London's West End and later that year, worked as the Co-Director with Consulting Director, Matthew Eames (Rent, Little Shop of Horrors) for Lauren Hillier's new musical 'Nursery Crimes' (King's Head Theatre Islington), creating one of the characters (Hilary) and writing a comedic song for her.

 

CURRENT

This year, Elisabeth has been involved in the new all-girl band, "Angels in White".  This exciting new adventure has, thus far, seen the girls perform as supporting act to Status Quo, perform at the Beatles Day in Liverpool and also perform in front of a crowd of more than 20,000 people at the Grand Prix Party at Silverstone on 11 July!  Elisabeth was again part of the band performing at the Liverpool Echo Arena as supporting act to Jools Holland in July 2010 - the first of several gigs.  For further information, see www.angelsinwhite.tv
